The Merry Fiddlers Dine at Dome Experience
Dine at Dome experience is the best way to enjoy Merry Fiddlers’ beautiful garden in any weather conditions. Domes feature state-of-the-art air-purifiers with heating and cooling. You can also enjoy your favourite tunes through an included Bluetooth speaker. Subtle lighting and cordless table lamps provide a pleasant ambience allowing you to enjoy your dome at any time of the day.
This private dining experience is ideal whether you celebrate a special occasion or plan a casual lunch or dinner in a unique setting. It is also a great way to start or end your day at the nearby golf courses.
About the Area
Fiddlers Hamlet, home to The Merry Fiddlers, is located west of M11, just north of its junction with M25. Less than 2 miles East of the centre of Epping and 8 miles South of Harlow. It is walking from Epping Golf Course and just across the M11 from Hobbs Cross Golf Centre. Being located less than 25 miles North-East of the centre of London (Trafalgar Square), it is also a fantastic weekend option for people who wish to escape to the countryside at least for a while.

I cannot rate the evening high enough. Super friendly and attentive service. Beautiful setting and gorgeous food. They couldn’t do enough for us.
Excellent Sunday Lunch at the Pod
We booked a pod for Sunday lunch last weekend and couldn’t fault the food and service. You could get forgotten when you’re not in the actual restaurant but that was not the case at all. We will definitely be back!
Pod summer nights
I had a wonderful evening dining in a pod. It was a beautiful summer evening too.
The service was excellent, staff are very attentive. The food was very tasty and of high standard.
I have rebooked to go back for my 50th later this year.
Daughter's Birthday Celebration
Has such a lovely evening for my daughter’s birthday. Staff were amazing and the food was delicious.
The trolley table could have been cleaner and more presentable and some of the crockery could have been cleaner but everything else was perfect . Staff were lovely, afternoon tea was pretty and delicious
The domes are a must this time of year
Valentines menu was very good but I don’t like pepper so I didn’t have pepper corn sauce but the steak had a very peppery taste, to much for my daughter so we swapped she had my chicken I had her steak even tho I didn’t like the pepper on it and it wasn’t pepper corn sauce! The steak was cooked to perfection, starters were amazing we didn’t have desert we were to full up! Service was great the staff are very welcoming and friendly all of them that served us.
The dome experience was very good. Choice of menu was limited but what there was, was very nice.
Booked a dome for my husband’s 50th birthday for a small dinner familt of four. It was perfect. I was worried it might be cold being in November but there was a Dyson heater inside and a mini speaker we could connect our music to. Food was really tasty and service was excellent. Highly recommended and can’t wait to go here again with friends.

such a shame the location was practically empty on a Friday night.would come back and hope business picks up.
Stunning evening in a pod
Such a magical experience, the lights, cosiness the decor.
We had a girlie night lots of flowing cocktails and some lovely wine.
The food was amazing garlic tiger prawns was exceptional, for mains we shared a chateaubriand, truffle chips and veg absolutely superb!!
This is a must for a girlie night bday celebration. The service was excellent our waitress was very thorough with her food explanations she highly recommended the tiger prawns and also said to come back on Sunday for a roast which we def will be.
This was our first visit and we hired a Dome for dinner the staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment we entered, our host was an amazing young lady who looked after us perfectly and the food was amazing will be returning great place to chill in pub or decking or the Dome is a treat if you want something different and special

Enjoyed the experience in ‘dining under the stars’. Service was very good. Temperature balance was a little problematical but didn’t have an adverse effect.

Lovely evening for an 18th birthday
We booked a dome for my granddaughters 18th birthday, it sat 8 people but we only had 7, I think it could be a bit tight with 8.
The service, food etc was lovely, the staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble, would definitely go again and maybe eat inside because it looks beautiful too.
Fantastic afternoon
Booked for my parents 40th wedding anniversary, they haven’t been out for 2 years due to being really vulnerable, so we thought we’d give the Dine at Dome a go. Was the best afternoon, dome was amazing, food was amazing and staff also amazing. It made my parents day, so thank you Merry Fiddlers/Dine at Dome. We will definitely be back for the next celebration we have.

Food the dome wonderful, especially the mini shepherds pie. The service just made the whole thing even better, sorry didn’t catch her name but she was absolutely brilliant. Attentive but not pushing absolutely charming as well, thank you. Espresso martinis were gorgeous, but my head was not so happy the next morning after 3 . Thank you
Very long wait
The pod was amazing. The food was great and the wait staff were
generally lovely.. but we waited almost two hours for our main course after
our starters. At one point one of the waitresses apologised for the delay and
said our food would be about 10 minutes…. It finally arrived about 45
minutes later. They later gave a reason for the delay but a more honest
explanation should have been given earlier. We did get 25% off the bill but
the very long wait did make the evening less enjoyable.

Although it took a little longer than expected for the food, it was worth the wait. I think the young lady serving was on her own so we didn’t mind. Great food, excellent service and wonderful surroundings. Thank you.
We dined in the dome and really enjoyed the experience, unfortunately we ran out of time and had to have dessert in the main pub where it was noisy and busy which spoilt the whole ambiance of the evening a little. Longer time in dome required on very busy nights. The staff were lovely and very helpful and attentive would recommend to friends and go back.

Lovely staff despite a busy night – perfect for us, looked after
