Wedding anniversary in a dome
Me and my husband had our first wedding anniversary in a dome on the front and it was the nicest meal we ever had. The staff were absolutely brilliant, couldn’t fault them one bit and the food was so delicious. We also got an extra pudding free of charge to celebrate our anniversary. Would 100% recommend for a special occasion.
Hen doo
Had a lovely time we had the Dome for a small Hen doo.. Service was absolutely brilliant couldn’t do enough and came out a few times making sure we were ok and if we needed anything else. Staff very polite. We had afternoon tea felt there was enough food but maybe quiche, sausage roll or something like that would of been nice as well.. Was very happy with everything and the afternoon Thank you very much.
An Enjoyable Evening
We spent a very enjoyable evening with family dining in the dome
that I booked on Friday 28th July. A different experience and really nice.
The main waiter whose name I unfortunately do not know was extremely nice,
pleasant, attentive and helpful.2 other younger members of staff assisted at
times (male and female) and both were very pleasant and efficient. The food
was well presented, tasty and enjoyed by all. There is one criticism I feel I
need to add. Being situated where it is on The Leas, a coastal area there is
the presence of seagulls which makes it awkward/difficult for the staff
serving food to diners. I just wonder if it would be possible to provide
staff with an enclosed trolley to use when transporting food from indoors to
outside to allow them to serve this to diners in one move. Yes there is a
small ramp to negotiate to the domes but I’m sure that could be negotiated
safely with 2 members of staff. Just something to think about perhaps. The
Dome is a really nice outdoor eating experience and we will recommend this
and have done already. The main waiter also presented us with a small
decorated dessert cake on a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate
which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated thank you.
Sunny Dining in the Dome
Overall we had a very nice experience in the dome. I would
recommend wearing sunglasses as on a sunny day it is bright inside the dome
and also becomes very warm. Air con unit was a welcome relief.
Attended 29th January 2023, for afternoon tea, a lovely afternoon and Ashley who looked after us was amazing, courteous, informative and provided excellent customer service, an asset to The Clifton Hotel. We all enjoyed ourselves in the outdoor pod! Next time looking to book an evening dinner so definitely coming back!
Food was pleasant, the sourdough starter wasn’t warm and was a
bit disappointing but the prawn cocktail was delicious. We asked if she
chicken pie was breast and we’re told yes, but it had thigh in it too which
was disappointing. The atmosphere was lovely and our waiter was fantastic,
couldn’t rate him high enough!
My only critism is it should have been clotted cream with the
scones and not butter

We had afternoon tea. Food was lovely and we were well looked
after nothing was to much trouble. Just a shame the cakes started to melt in
the heat. But lovely afternoon was had by all.

We were very impressed with our recent visit to the restaurant. The food was excellent and the domes create a nice dining experience. The waiter we had for the evening was excellent, very attentive and an absolute asset to your hotel. His timing was perfect as he appeared just at the right time when we needed more drinks and were ready to order. Lovely finishing touch with a little birthday surprise at the end of the evening.

Started in sunshine and finished in rain but it didn’t matter in warm, cosy dome. Thank you Ashley for the wonderful service and attention to detail.

we had a lovely afternoon at the Marco Pierre White Restaurant
at the Clifton hotel. We booked one of the domes and had a brilliant time.
The food was delicious, service great and the fact that we had all the time
we needed to in our own space really made it special. There could be a bit
more attention to decor in the dome as it’s a bit empty but on the other hand
they are also good value compared to what I’ve seen elsewhere.

A bit hot
The carrot cake was lovely. The Staff were really friendly but
we had to ask for milk, sugar and jam . Amazing weather but sadly
meant it was very hot in the dome.

Amazing Service
Myself and my daughter hired one of the domes. The weather was
absolutely awful but we had a lovely waiter named Ash who kept a smile on his
face the whole time, even though he was in and out of the dome in the pouring
rain attending to our needs. Well done Ash you made the whole meal a pleasant
experience and your manners are impeccable.

We visited Marco restaurant for a birthday. The staff were so friendly and the pod made it like Our own event. We was given a heater if it got too cold and a speaker to play music. The food was lovley and all the staff were so nice. Drinks were a little slow to come out but that is the only negative and is minor compared to the lovley service we received . Will be back! Xxxxxx

Absolutely fantastic evening with my wife in the dome food was great staff where brilliant they even listened and surprised us with a little dessert with happy birthday and happy anniversary in chocolate on the plate even tho we weren’t having one such a special way to celebrating my birthday and our anniversary great touch definitely 5 star from us

Overall excellent
Being told that ribeye steak cannot be done rare and it’s probably the day light angle causing our discontent in terms of the meat colour was a bit of a stretch to my personal taste. However, excellent onion soup and super friendly waiter topped up with delicious bottle of Italian red wiped out all absurdity of the above incident. Yes, I’d recommend dining there. Ah, almost forgotten … toffee pudding is the way to compliment your evening. Best, Michal

Dome dinner
Absolutely fantastic experience! First time we dined in a dome, and we dined out for the first time in 6 months. The dome was heated and cozy. Food was delicious, though we had to wait a long time. This may be because of the first day of reopening. Staff were lovely! The fairy lights weren’t working but table lamps made it up. We will dine again soon. All the best
