We offer a flavoursome menu influenced by the colours and richness of Greece with both Greek and more familiar English pub favourites, always prepared fresh and to the highest standards and from locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Enjoy the rich flavours of Greece in the heart of the Bedfordshire countryside. On Saturdays and Sundays we serve our famous Greek style weekend grills of slow cooked lamb, chicken or pork served with Greek oven roasted potatoes and vegetables and can be accompanied with Yorkshire puddings too!

The Anchor Pub Dine at Dome Experience
Whether it’s a romantic date, an anniversary celebration, a night out with friends our guests can remain in their own social bubble and enjoy a meal in one of our exclusive domes. Attentive staff will be at your service and the air purifying heaters will keep you warm in your small private function room. The domes are set up right on our beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the garden. The subtle ambient lighting will create the most unique experience after dark and you can make it even more distinctive by bringing your own music with you!

We booked a pod in the garden. Had a lovely meal with friends. All good.
Pod experience
Great experience in the pod. Quiet and out of the way. Staff were attentive, food was great! We love Greek food and are so happy that we have found somewhere local that we can get the food we love!
Dinner in Dome
Had a lovely meal, the food was excellent as was the service. The dome was nice as really enabled you to relax and chat. Highly recommend.
The first drinks were a bit slow, but it was busy, so understandable. Will definitely be back though

Excellent Experience
I booked this as a surprise for my friends birthday. Couldn’t fault it. The staff were friendly & helpful. The food was really good. Our waitress was excellent. Lauren did everything possible to make our dining experience extra special.

in a dome. It was a perfect experience for her, very beautiful and private.

BAKLAVA to die for!!
A lovely find. Lovely decor and everything was clean. No grubby sticky tables and cutlery was sparking clean. The food was okay. Lamb kleftiko was very dry and lacked the Greek overall taste. The pork skewers – while ample – were also dry. Soup was tasty as were the mushrooms.
The best part was the BAKLAVA – omg, it was absolutely delicious. Fantastic dessert that we’d drive the half hour just for that.
Waiting staff were friendly however little attention given considering the night was slow. Pricing was also very reasonable.
We’ll give it another try and hopefully food will prove to be more Greek.

checked upon throughout! The food was amazing including the children’s

Sunday lunch
30 July 23. Had a family lunch, 7 adults 4 children. Really enjoyed our meal , very relaxing atmosphere septet children present. All meals brought out swiftly ,all very tasty. Sadly rain set in so we couldn’t stay longer in the garden with the kids . Will definitely be recommending the anchor to friends .

Celebrating 30th in Comfort and Style
Really super evening celebrating our son’s 30th. The dome was
cool enough even on a hot evening – so comfortable and great service, food
and drinks. Enjoyed listening to our own playlist and even charging our
phones! (And the 3 year old in our party had the best night too, playing in
the garden and making friends!)
We were so happy with our visit yesterday. Our waitress was Ashley and she was so lovely, so polite and helped with every little thing we needed

Salty Pork Chop
Hi folks , pork chop, mash and fries far too salty for our
taste, everything else was great.
Shame as you are on our doorstep and we are looking for an additional local
but sorry not this time.
