We offer a flavoursome menu influenced by the colours and richness of Greece with both Greek and more familiar English pub favourites, always prepared fresh and to the highest standards and from locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Enjoy the rich flavours of Greece in the heart of the Bedfordshire countryside. On Saturdays and Sundays we serve our famous Greek style weekend grills of slow cooked lamb, chicken or pork served with Greek oven roasted potatoes and vegetables and can be accompanied with Yorkshire puddings too!

The Anchor Pub Dine at Dome Experience
Whether it’s a romantic date, an anniversary celebration, a night out with friends our guests can remain in their own social bubble and enjoy a meal in one of our exclusive domes. Attentive staff will be at your service and the air purifying heaters will keep you warm in your small private function room. The domes are set up right on our beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the garden. The subtle ambient lighting will create the most unique experience after dark and you can make it even more distinctive by bringing your own music with you!

Wonderful food and service for a birthday celebration. The pod was fantastic and we look forward to many more happy times at The Anchor.

Pod experience
Great experience in the pod. Quiet and out of the way. Staff were attentive, food was great! We love Greek food and are so happy that we have found somewhere local that we can get the food we love!
Dinner in Dome
Had a lovely meal, the food was excellent as was the service. The dome was nice as really enabled you to relax and chat. Highly recommend.
The first drinks were a bit slow, but it was busy, so understandable. Will definitely be back though

I booked this as a surprise for my friends birthday. Couldn’t fault it. The staff were friendly & helpful. The food was really good. Our waitress was excellent. Lauren did everything possible to make our dining experience extra special.

BAKLAVA to die for!!
A lovely find. Lovely decor and everything was clean. No grubby sticky tables and cutlery was sparking clean. The food was okay. Lamb kleftiko was very dry and lacked the Greek overall taste. The pork skewers – while ample – were also dry. Soup was tasty as were the mushrooms.
The best part was the BAKLAVA – omg, it was absolutely delicious. Fantastic dessert that we’d drive the half hour just for that.
Waiting staff were friendly however little attention given considering the night was slow. Pricing was also very reasonable.
We’ll give it another try and hopefully food will prove to be more Greek.

checked upon throughout! The food was amazing including the children’s

Sunday lunch
30 July 23. Had a family lunch, 7 adults 4 children. Really enjoyed our meal , very relaxing atmosphere septet children present. All meals brought out swiftly ,all very tasty. Sadly rain set in so we couldn’t stay longer in the garden with the kids . Will definitely be recommending the anchor to friends .

Celebrating 30th in Comfort and Style
Really super evening celebrating our son’s 30th. The dome was
cool enough even on a hot evening – so comfortable and great service, food
and drinks. Enjoyed listening to our own playlist and even charging our
phones! (And the 3 year old in our party had the best night too, playing in
the garden and making friends!)
We were so happy with our visit yesterday. Our waitress was Ashley and she was so lovely, so polite and helped with every little thing we needed

Salty Pork Chop
Hi folks , pork chop, mash and fries far too salty for our
taste, everything else was great.
Shame as you are on our doorstep and we are looking for an additional local

Food is good good value and quality, staff very friendly. We will be returning. The cost to hire the dome is high and only for a real treat, although it was a good experience. We will be back to eat but in the restaurant area rather than the dome.
We hired a dome for birthday celebrations for my brother and sister in law. The service and food was faultless and we had a great evening – would really recommend hiring a dome for a special occasion!
First time in a dome for dinner and it was so magical. Didn’t
expect a blutooth speaker in there either. Food and servive was excellent.

My missus 35th birthday meal in a dome
Me and the missus drove 40 miles to get here so my missus could have a meal in the dome for her 35th birthday, she’s been dying to try the domes for ages. Price are really good , portion size are amazing , atmosphere is brilliant, lovely setting and surroundings . Our waitress Elise was brilliant couldn’t have been more helpful and was really attentive, she did a brilliant job in the pouring down rain all evening. Elise told us when we got into the dome the only reason you move is to go toilet and that is exactly what happened. The domes are worth the money just for the experience, the heater was perfect inside , very comfortable seating, Bluetooth speaker is a great idea so we could listen to our own music while eating , the food is next level honestly I can say this is the best food I’ve eaten in forever . Highly recommended to everyone, we will defo be returning even tho its an hour drive for us but totally worth it . Thanks again to everyone for and perfect evening to my missus birthday especially Elise she was brilliant all night . Thanks Dave & Steph

We asked for a gap between starter and main,unfortunately that didn’t happen. Food was delicious and hot, large portions. Loved the dome experience.
Me and my girlfriend enjoyed the experience of the dome,the food was amazing and very quick being brought out to us. Our waitress elles was so polite and very helpful, which helped our experience more enjoyable. Would most definitely recommend this to anyone and will definitely be returning ourselves. We had a lovely time. The Dome is great. A heater provided
warmth – or air con if too warm.There was a misic pod so we could stream our
own music. Food excellent and lots of choice. Greek and English. Very
generous portions. Service excellent and very friendly. The pub looks lovely
and has a huge garden and outside lit seating also. The domes are well placed
for privacy. Very cosy with great lighting. Many thanks to all there.
Outstanding
Well this was first time we have been and I can assure you it
won’t be the last, we found the food outstanding,
the service was outstanding to we had a Dome in the garden and staff were
brilliant the distance they to walk every time they served us but friendly
each one

I can’t recommend the Anchor Pub enough. The domes are cozy and
have a great view of the garden. The food is fresh and prepared with a lot
of care. The service is invariably fanastic – very attentive and the staff
makes you feel like family. They also have an outstanding and varied
cocktail menu. We love it here and will be back soon!

Celebrating my 50th birthday in the dome with friends. What a
fantastic evening we had. Food was excellent and everyone was very friendly.

Mostly fine
3 people were disappointed not to be able to order the oven lamb at 12.30 on a Sunday. Food that we had was mainly fine, not as good as last time. We rang bell for service but had to rush dessert as we were left too long between courses.

I booked one of the globe’s for me and my twin sister’s
birthday. The staff were really friendly, Sophia and Ria were lovely, they
even put a candle on our desserts and sang happy birthday. The globe was
great, lovely and warm and we enjoyed listening to our own playlist while we
were eating. The food was lovely and they had a good variety on the menu.

A lovely evening in a dome to celebrate my daughters birthday.
Laura has special needs and she isn’t always happy to remain at the table
for the whole meal, but she loved the Dome. My 2yr old grandson was very
happy playing with the ride on toys provided- even in the rain!!!!
Top notch
If you like Greek food you have to eat here. My husband and I
love Greece and the food and this is top notch! Six of us had a pod which was
very cosy. Can’t recommend The Anchor enough. Make sure you are really hungry
as the portions are very big. Can’t wait to come back thank you very much.

An amazing birthday treat for my partner The outdoor/indoor pods are great – heated, Bluetooth speaker, fairy lights. The food is really good quality and the service (at the push of a button) is terrific – thanks Tegan. Highly recommended for a special romantic meal for two or a great venue for a family group.
